New York High School Football - South Jefferson defeats Cortland
October 4, 2024: Cortland, NY 13045 In Friday's league match, the visiting South Jefferson Spartans football squad scored a good 49-26 victory over the Cortland Purple Tigers.
The Spartans (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Oswego (Oswego, NY). The Bucs enter the Section 3 B - 2 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Oswego was beaten by Beaver River (Beaver Falls, NY), 33-0, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Purple Tigers confront the Mexico Tigers (Mexico, NY) in a Section 3 B - 2 match, on Friday, October 11. Cortland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 42-15 league win over Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, NY).
