Iowa High School Football - Van Buren County can't hold off Danville
October 4, 2024: Keosauqua, IA 52565 Danville Bears (Danville, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Van Buren County Warriors (Keosauqua, IA), 7-6 in a league battle.
With the win, Danville improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Lisbon (Lisbon, IA) to play the Lions in a A District 5 battle on Friday, October 11. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 6-0. Lisbon won 49-0 in their recent league battle against Wapello (Wapello, IA)
The Warriors now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Columbus for a A District 5 battle on Friday, October 11. Van Buren County will play a Wildcats team coming off a 54-0 league win over Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-3.
