October 4, 2024: Sumner, IA 50674 The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars walloped the visiting Denver Cyclones football team by a score of 55-7 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars face the Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA) in a 1A District 3 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Sumner-Fredericksburg will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 35-6 league loss to Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA).
The Cyclones (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against MFL MarMac (Monona, IA). The Bulldogs go into the 1A District 3 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, MFL MarMac was ripped by Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA), 34-0, in a league challenge.
