In Friday's league match, the host Golden West Trailblazers football squad scored a decisive 48-0 triumph over the Mt. Whitney Pioneers.

The Trailblazers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Porterville (Porterville, CA). The Panthers come into the East Yosemite match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Porterville was routed by Redwood (Visalia, CA), 44-34, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Pioneers confront the El Diamante Miners (Visalia, CA) in a East Yosemite match, on Friday, October 11. Mt. Whitney will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Miners come into the match with a 0-6 record after their 37-0 league loss to Monache (Porterville, CA).
