The Hughes Springs Mustangs got by the visiting Queen City Bulldogs football team by a score of 40-34 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Hughes Springs will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Hornets go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 52-7 non-league win over Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool (Oklahoma City, OK).
