The crowd at Friday's league contest between the South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) and the host Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN), witnessed South Adams's football squad knock off Jay County by a tally of 34-14.

The Starfires (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Woodlan (Woodburn, IN). The Warriors enter the Allen County contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Woodlan gained a win over Prairie Heights (LaGrange, IN), 42-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Patriots battle the Lapel Bulldogs (Lapel, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 11. Jay County will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 4-3 record after their 40-21 league loss to Heritage Christian (Indianapolis, IN).
