Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Omaha Christian Academy Eagles (Omaha, NE), 72-18 in a league battle.

With the win, Johnson County Central advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Lourdes Central Catholic (Nebraska City, NE) to encounter the Knights in a D1 District 1 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Lourdes Central Catholic won 62-14 in their recent non-league battle against Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE)

The Eagles now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Johnson-Brock for a D1 District 1 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. Omaha Christian Academy will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 58-15 league win over Freeman (Adams, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
