In Friday's non-league match, the host St. Petersburg Green Devils football squad scored a good 20-7 triumph over the Largo Packers.

The Green Devils (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Northeast (St. Petersburg, FL). The Vikings come into the 4A District 11 match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Northeast was beaten by Osceola (Seminole, FL), 19-13, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Packers confront the Steinbrenner Warriors (Lutz, FL) in a 6A District 10 match, on Thursday, October 10. Largo will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 3-3 record after their 35-9 non-league loss to Alonso (Tampa, FL).
