October 4, 2024: New Waverly, TX 77358 Newton Eagles (Newton, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX), 56-14 in a league battle.
With the win, Newton improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Eagles host Woodville (Woodville, TX) to play the Eagles in a 3A-2 Region III District 12 battle on Friday, October 11. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Woodville won 58-0 in their recent league battle against Warren (Warren, TX)
The Bulldogs now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Anderson-Shiro for a 3A-2 Region III District 12 battle on Friday, October 11. New Waverly will play a Fighting Owls team coming off a 62-7 league loss to Newton (Newton, TX). The Fighting Owls record now stands at 4-1.
