October 4, 2024: West Bend, IA 50597 West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting North Iowa Bison (Buffalo Center, IA), 69-26 in a league battle.
With the win, West Bend-Mallard improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Wolverines host St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to play the Gaels in a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. The Gaels go into the battle with a record of 3-3. St. Edmond won 55-22 in their recent league battle against Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA)
The Bison now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Harris-Lake Park for a 8-Man District 2 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. North Iowa will play a Wolves team coming off a 58-8 league loss to Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-4.
