Louisiana High School Football - Riverside Academy falls to Vermilion Catholic
October 4, 2024: Reserve, LA 70084 The Vermilion Catholic Eagles felled the host Riverside Academy Rebels football team by a score of 49-34 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) in a 1A District 6 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Vermilion Catholic will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 34-0 non-league loss to Delcambre (Delcambre, LA).
The Rebels (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA). The Saints go into the 1A District 10 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, St. Martin's Episcopal lost by Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA), 28-21, in a non-league challenge.
