Mississippi High School Football - Russell Christian Academy thwarted by Sylva Bay Academy
October 4, 2024: Meridian, MS 39301 Sylva Bay Academy Saints (Bay Springs, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Russell Christian Academy Warriors (Meridian, MS), 30-12 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Sylva Bay Academy improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Saints travel to DeSoto (West Helena, AR) to play the Thunderbirds in a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 1 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. The Thunderbirds go into the battle with a record of 7-0. DeSoto won 62-8 in their recent league battle against Delta Academy (Marks, MS)
The Warriors now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Victory Christian for a Christian (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. Russell Christian Academy will play a Eagles team coming off a 38-12 league win over Tabernacle (Gardendale, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
