The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Sand Creek Scorpions (Colorado Springs, CO) and the host Thornton Trojans (Thornton, CO), witnessed Sand Creek's football squad wallop Thornton by a tally of 66-23.

The Scorpions (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks enter the 4A I-25 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Cheyenne Mountain crushed Centaurus (Lafayette, CO), 26-23, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Trojans battle the Grand Junction Tigers (Grand Junction, CO) in a 4A I-25 contest, on Friday, October 11. Thornton will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 48-13 league win over Gateway (Aurora, CO).
