Massachusetts High School Football - Saugus loses to Winthrop
October 4, 2024: Winthrop, MA 02152 Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA), 42-12 in a league battle.
With the win, Winthrop advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Vikings host Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to play the Big Blue in a Northeastern - South battle on Thursday, October 17. The Big Blue go into the battle with a record of 2-2.
The Sachems now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Salem for a Northeastern - South battle on Thursday, October 10. Saugus will play a Witches team coming off a 35-14 league loss to Gloucester (Gloucester, MA). The Witches record now stands at 2-2.
