October 4, 2024: Columbia, MD 21045 Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Oakland Mills improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Scorpions host Guilford Park (Jessup, MD) to face the Panther in a test on Wednesday, October 16. The Panther go into the test with a record of 0-1.
The Lightning now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reservoir for a test on Tuesday, October 8. Long Reach will face a 'Gators squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Atholton (Columbia, MD). The 'Gators record now stands at 1-0.
