Illinois High School Soccer - Northside nudges Payton College Prep
October 4, 2025: Chicago, IL 60625 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Northside Mustangs (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL), saw Northside's soccer squad hold off Payton College Prep by a count of 2-1.
The Mustangs (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Von Steuben (Chicago, IL). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Von Steuben was edged by Prosser (Chicago, IL), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Grizzlies battle the Solorio Sun Warriors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Payton College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Sun Warriors enter the battle with a 12-6 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL).
