Connecticut High School Soccer - St. Luke's nudges Portsmouth Abbey
October 4, 2025: New Canaan, CT 06840 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. Luke's Storm (New Canaan, CT) and the visiting Portsmouth Abbey Ravens (Portsmouth, RI), saw St. Luke's's soccer squad hold off Portsmouth Abbey by a count of 1-0.
The Storm (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Greenwich Country Day (Greenwich, CT). The Tigers enter the Fairchester battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Greenwich Country Day was edged by Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI), 5-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Ravens battle the Bancroft Bulldogs (Worcester, MA) in a Eastern Independent match, on Wednesday, October 8. Portsmouth Abbey will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 3-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Beaver Country Day (Chestnut Hill, MA).
