Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL) and the visiting DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), observed Vernon Hills's volleyball team top DeKalb by a count of 2-0.

The Cougars (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Fighting Saints enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, St. Charles East was knocked off by Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
