October 4, 2025: Moline, IL 61265 In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Eureka Hornets volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Moline Maroons.
With the win, Eureka improves its record to 22-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL) to face the Grey Ghosts in a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. The Grey Ghosts go into the test with a record of 13-3. Illinois Valley Central lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Monticello (Monticello, IL)
The Maroons now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rock Island for a Western Big 6 test on Tuesday, October 7. Moline will face a Rocks squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 5-11.
