With the win, Santa Clara improves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Bruins travel to Alisal (Salinas, CA) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. The Trojans go into the battle with a record of 9-5. Alisal won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Soledad (Soledad, CA)
Next, the Mustangs meet the Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA) in a BVAL - Santa Teresa East contest, on Tuesday, October 7. Gilroy will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 9-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Prospect (Saratoga, CA).
