October 4, 2025: Gretna, LA 70053 Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Liberty Magnet Patriots (Baton Rouge, LA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA). The Green Wave come into the non-league challenge with a 14-7 record. In their last challenge, Ponchatoula was beaten by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots meet the Episcopal of Acadiana Falcons (Cade, LA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 4. Liberty Magnet will attempt to advance on its 5-21 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Crowley, LA).
