In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Mountain Pointe Pride volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Tolleson Wolverines.

The Pride (5-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Higley (Gilbert, AZ). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Higley Estrella Foothills (Goodyear, AZ), 1-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) in a 6A - West Valley challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Tolleson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 4-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ).
