October 4, 2025: Plaquemine, LA 70764 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) and the visiting St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA), observed St. John's volleyball team top St. James by a count of 2-0.
The Eagles (9-11) will now prepare for their battle against Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA). The go into the Division V District 5 battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, Ascension Christian achieved victory over Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Wildcats now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crescent City Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 7. St. James will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to East Jefferson (Metairie, LA). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-17.
