In Thursday's league match, the host Independence 76ers football squad scored a good 34-6 victory over the Africentric Early College Nubians.

In their next game, the 76ers clash with the West Cowboys (Columbus, OH) in a Columbus City - South match, on Friday, October 13. Independence will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Cowboys enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 34-12 league loss to Marion-Franklin (Columbus, OH).
