South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Sabres confront the Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 6. South Mecklenburg will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).
