October 5, 2023: Shiprock, NM 87420 The Shiprock Chieftains volleyball team (Shiprock, NM), went down 3-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Monument Valley Cougars (Monument Valley, UT)
The Cougars (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT). The Raiders enter the 1A Region 19 challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Whitehorse went down by Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Chieftains encounter the Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. Shiprock will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Belen (Belen, NM).
