The Peru Nighthawks were victorious over the host Saranac Spartans football team by a score of 41-15 in Saturday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Nighthawks face the Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY) in a Section 7 challenge, on Saturday, October 12. Peru will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Red Storm enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 28-12 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).

The Spartans (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Hornets enter the Section 7 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Plattsburgh ran past Franklin Academy (Malone, NY), 26-14, in a non-league challenge.
