New York High School Soccer - Hoosic Valley knocks off Mekeel Christian Academy
October 5, 2024: Schaghticoke, NY 12154 The Hoosic Valley Indians soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Mekeel Christian Academy Lions to 1 in the Indians non-league victory on Saturday.
The Indians now hold a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Berlin/New Lebanon for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 9. Hoosic Valley will play a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Emma Willard (Troy, NY). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, Mekeel Christian Academy moves to 3-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Mayfield (Mayfield, NY) to play the Panthers in a Western Athletic- Northern bout on Tuesday, October 8. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Mayfield won 7-0 in their recent league bout against Canajoharie (Canajoharie, NY)
