October 5, 2024: Burbank, IL 60459 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) and the visiting Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL), saw St. Laurence's soccer squad knock off Hinsdale South by a count of 5-2.
The Vikings (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Fenwick (Oak Park, IL). The Friars enter the Chicago Catholic battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Fenwick by Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Hornets confront the Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL) in a West Suburban - Gold battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Hinsdale South will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 9-4 record after their 5-0 league loss to Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL).
