Missouri High School Softball - Montgomery County bounces Atlanta
October 5, 2024: Atlanta, MO 63530 The Montgomery County Wildcats softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Atlanta Hornets to 2 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.
The Wildcats now possess a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Community for a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. Montgomery County will confront a Trojans team coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to New Franklin (New Franklin, MO). The Trojans record now stands at 18-9.
With the loss, Atlanta moves to 5-12 on the season. The Hornets travel to North Shelby (Shelbyville, MO) to confront the Raiders in a Class 1 District 10 battle on Monday, October 7. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 12-6. North Shelby won 11-0 in their recent non-league battle against South Shelby (Shelbina, MO)
