October 5, 2024: Newton, IA 50208 Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Newton advances its record to 9-12 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA) to face the Indians in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. The Indians go into the test with a record of 6-14. Oskaloosa lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Pella (Pella, IA)
The Mustangs now sport a 6-23 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boone for a test on Saturday, October 5. Davis County will face a Toreadors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Toreadors record now stands at 4-14.
