Game Summary
The Century coaching staff before the game came and talked with the Preston coaches to identify that we were playing both freshman and sophomores. Preston clarified that they were playing both Freshman and Sophomore players as they have been doing this throughout the season and made claim at the beginning of the season that they were indeed a "Frosh" team. Clearly Century did not do any research before coming in to play as they made the decision to leave and forfeit the game if we did not play only Freshman players.
After laying out the facts about our sophomore players that would be playing, those young men that receive little to know playing time on any other team besides the freshman team, this did not deter the resolve of the century team as they did not trust us. We made the tough decision to tell the 8 sophomore players and their families that came to watch them play that we would not be playing them in an effort to satisfy the Century coaches and convince them to play the game.
