October 6, 2022: Moneta, VA 24121 The Staunton River Golden Eagles football team (Moneta, VA), was knocked off 14-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA)
The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Byrd was knocked off by Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 34-8, in a non-league challenge.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northside for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 13. Staunton River will meet a Vikings team coming off a 35-6 non-league loss to Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-7.
