In Friday's league game, the Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) football team knocked off the visiting Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), by a score of 31-14.

The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Andrew (Tinley Park, IL). The Thunderbolts come into the Southwest Suburban - Red game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Andrew was dropped by Lockport (Lockport, IL), 41-16, in a non-league game.

The Chargers now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Bradley-Bourbonnais for a Southwest Suburban - Red game on Friday, October 13. Stagg will battle a Boilermakers team coming off a 41-17 league loss to Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 5-2.
