The Newman Catholic Knights football team (Mason City, IA), was ripped 41-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting North Union Warriors (Armstrong, IA)

The Warriors (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sibley-Ocheyedan (Sibley, IA). The Generals come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Sibley-Ocheyedan was ripped by Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA), 28-21, in a league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Hancock for a A District 2 challenge on Friday, October 13. Newman Catholic will meet a Eagles team coming off a 41-0 league win over Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-1.
