The Northeast Academy Eagles football team (Lasker, NC), was beaten 24-12 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC)

The Raiders (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Vikings come into the NCISAA 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Halifax Academy achieved victory over Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC), 56-0, in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethel Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 13. Northeast Academy will meet a Trojans team coming off a 48-6 non-league loss to Lawrence Academy/Albemarle School (Merry Hill, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 0-3.
