October 6, 2023: Quitman, AR 72131 In Friday's league game, the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) football team knocked off the visiting Yellville-Summit Panthers (Yellville, AR), by a final score of 51-30.
The Bulldogs (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Atkins (Atkins, AR). The Red Devils come into the 3A Region 2 game with a 0-7 record. In their last game, Atkins was dropped by Newport (Newport, AR), 47-18, in a league game.
The Panthers now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Salem for a 3A Region 2 game on Friday, October 13. Yellville-Summit will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 38-27 league win over Melbourne (Melbourne, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-0.
