The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Tabernacle Torches (Gardendale, AL) and the visiting Victory Christian Eagles (Columbus, MS), observed Tabernacle's football squad defeat Victory Christian by a count of 62-36.

The Torches now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Tuscaloosa Christian for a Christian (8 Man) contest on Friday, October 13. Tabernacle will play a Warriors squad coming off a 74-30 non-league win over Meadowview Christian (Selma, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 5-3.

Coming up next, the Eagles play the Russell Christian Academy Warriors (Meridian, MS) in a Christian (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 13. Victory Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 36-30 non-league loss to North River Christian (Tuscaloosa, AL).
