October 6, 2023: Cairo, GA 39828 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Ola Mustangs (McDonough, GA) and the host Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA), saw Ola's softball squad nip Cairo by a count of 5-2.
The Mustangs now sport a 21-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbus for a non-league match on Friday, October 6. Ola will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 17-2 league win over Monroe (Albany, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 14-8.
With the loss, Cairo falls to 15-5 on the campaign. The Syrupmakers travel to Northside (Columbus, GA) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Saturday, October 7. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 19-7. Northside won 4-1 in their recent non-league match against Bremen (Bremen, GA)
