October 6, 2025: Belmont, NC 28012 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) and the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), saw South Point's soccer squad prevail over Mallard Creek by a count of 4-0.
The Red Raiders (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave enter the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Ashbrook by Huss (Gastonia, NC), 2-1, in a non-league match.
The Mavericks now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Mecklenburg for a non-league match on Tuesday, October 7. Mallard Creek will meet a Vikings team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-8.
