The North Stanly Comets volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Concord Spiders to 0 in the Comets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Comets now possess a 14-10 record. They play next when they host Albemarle for a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A game on Tuesday, October 7. North Stanly will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Concord drops to 9-12 on the campaign. The Spiders host East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a South Piedmont 4A/5A bout on Tuesday, October 7. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 15-10. East Rowan won 3-1 in their recent league bout against Salisbury (Salisbury, NC)
