New York High School Volleyball - Marlboro Central bounced by Newburgh Free Academy
October 6, 2025: Marlboro, NY 12542 Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newburgh Free Academy improves its record to 8-3 on the season. The Goldbacks host Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY) to face the Bushmen in a Section 9 Orange County I test on Wednesday, October 8. The Bushmen go into the test with a record of 6-4. Pine Bush lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY)
The Dukes now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rondout Valley for a MHAL test on Tuesday, October 7.
