In Thursday's non-league game, the Cypress Creek Bears (Orlando, FL) football team knocked off the host Horizon Hawks (Winter Garden, FL), by a final score of 21-7.

The Bears (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Oak Ridge (Orlando, FL). The Pioneers come into the 8A District 5 game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Oak Ridge was dropped by Freedom (Orlando, FL), 23-20, in a league game.

The Hawks now hold a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Buena Vista for a 5A District 6 game on Friday, October 15. Horizon will battle a Vipers team coming off a 41-0 non-league loss to Colonial (Orlando, FL). The Vipers record now stands at 0-6.
