October 7, 2021: Monroe, NC 28110 The Piedmont Panthers football team (Monroe, NC), was beaten 8-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC)
The Spartans (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Weddington was beaten by Olympic (Charlotte, NC), 16-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Marvin Ridge for a challenge on Thursday, October 14. Piedmont will meet a Mavericks team coming off a 31-17 league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-2.
