In Friday's league game, the Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) football team knocked off the host Bells Panthers (Bells, TX), by a score of 24-14.

The Tigers (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Howe (Howe, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A-2 Region II District 8 game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Howe toppled Leonard (Leonard, TX), 34-3, in a league game.

The Panthers now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Blue Ridge for a 3A-2 Region II District 8 game on Friday, October 14. Bells will battle a Tigers team coming off a 37-6 league win over Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-2.
