October 7, 2022: Elliston, VA 24087 The Craig County Rockets football team (New Castle, VA), was beaten 41-16 in Friday's league challenge with the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA)
The Mustangs (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Chargers come into the Pioneer challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Bath County was beaten by East Hardy (Baker, WV), 42-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Rockets now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parry McCluer for a Pioneer challenge on Friday, October 14. Craig County will meet a Fighting Blues team coming off a 32-0 league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 1-5.
