In Friday's league match, the visiting Weldon Chargers football squad scored a good 38-20 victory over the Northwest Halifax Vikings.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC) in a 1A East Conference 9 match, on Friday, October 14. Weldon will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record.
