Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), 21-13 in a league test.

With the triumph, Smithfield-Selma improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to confront the Saints in a 3A East Conference 21 test on Friday, October 14. The Saints come into the test with a record of 2-5. Southern Wayne lost 42-7 in their recent league test against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC)

With the loss, West Johnston drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC) to confront the Golden Falcons in a 3A East Conference 21 test on Friday, October 14. The Golden Falcons come into the test with a record of 7-0. C.B. Aycock won 34-27 in their recent league test against Fike (Wilson, NC)
