The Vandalia Vandals football team (Vandalia, IL), was tipped 21-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL)

The Piasa Birds (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Hiltoppers come into the South Central challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Hillsboro nipped Staunton/Bunker Hill (Staunton, IL), 40-0, in a league challenge.

The Vandals now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Litchfield/Mt. Olive for a South Central challenge on Friday, October 14. Vandalia will meet a team coming off a 42-16 league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The record now stands at 1-6.
