The Whitney Wildcats topped the visiting North Central Texas Academy Pioneers volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wildcats now have a 14-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host West for a 3A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, October 11. Whitney will confront a Trojans team coming off a 3-0 league win over Maypearl (Maypearl, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 24-10.

The Pioneers (17-11) will now prepare for their test against Alvarado (Alvarado, TX). The Indians enter the non-league test with a 17-15 record.
